Aniela Jones

As an artist living in North Wales with Scottish Highland ancestry, Aniela feels a deep connection to the land.

Her paintings are mainly created using oils or acrylics and palette knives, frequently incorporate textural qualities to create a feel of the inherent structures of the landscapes.

Rather than producing photo-realistic works, with her paintings she is trying to capture the essence of a place and time. 

Snowdonia, North Wales and Scotland are Aniela's inspiration.

Beautiful landscapes and moody skies fuel her passion. 

The wild untamed nature of their rugged mountains, rivers, lakes and coasts, appeals to the artist in her.

Aniela is always in awe of the grandeur of the mountains and captivated by the forever changing light as it plays across the landscape throughout the seasons, but for her winter in particular is a very special time in the mountains.
