Collection: David Weaver

After a stint at St Martin's and Exeter, David Weaver headed over to Paris for four years, absorbing both classical and contemporary painting. Back in London, exciting new work was emerging from artists such as Thérèse Oulton, Fiona Rae, and Dan Perfect. Embracing their inquiry and freedom, along with the influence of London masters Auerbach and Albert Irvin and the abstract expressionists from across the pond, especially Joan Mitchell, David gradually carved out his own space to explore and innovate. The endless possibilities in paint continue to fascinate him, as well as his personal venture into this field of creative endeavour.
